Paul Klein

Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning

As Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning, Paul Klein is responsible for overseeing global strategy and governance. He recently announced his intention to retire at the end of 2019 after a 41-year career, 24 years of which have been with Rich’s.

Most recently, Paul served as Chief Information Strategy Officer, leading Rich’s Information Systems (IS) team through the deployment of new technologies and created new digital strategies designed to deliver the Rich Experience to customers.

Prior to, Paul served as Senior Vice President, Chief Process and Information Officer for eight years and as an Information Technology Director preceding that.

Before joining Rich’s, Paul held positions in financial and information systems leadership with both General Motors and Electronic Data Systems.

Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University.

A Buffalo native, Paul and his wife Rosemary reside in East Amherst, New York. They have three grown children.


Boards & Leadership

In addition to his work at Rich’s, Paul sits on the board of Buffalo-based nonprofit, IT Buffalo, which focuses on creating a stronger technology community in Western New York and increasing the number of job opportunities for local college graduates.
